Re: Ref on Saturday

Just so long as we have seen the last of that bumptious O’Donnell

(Spell check changed numpty to bumptious. No idea what it means but it can’t be far wrong)

Re: Boreham Wood first signs of a rocky road ahead?

I think what Dave means and certainly how I meant it, was that he started to mix his position as chair with politics telling the local community how to vote in the most patronising way. Pretty much demanding they did as he said as he was the all knowing chairman. There were official press releases a...

Re: Boreham Wood first signs of a rocky road ahead?

Wasn’t he a bit of a knobhead about Brexit? Could he have alienated a proportion of the local community who don’t want the potential consequences without an obvious upside? I’d forgotten all about his football/politics mix and telling the locals how to vote. Good recall DTBH. He made a massive end ...

there Is such thing as a six point game as there are six points between the relative outcomes. If you started level then you can end up three points ahead or three points behind the other team.
So the difference is 3 points from where it could be.

Re: 6 Pointer

Yes.
Because there is no such thing as a six point game. The most they could ever move ahead is 3 points. The phrase is an absolute nonsense as is the likelihood of back to back promotion.

Getting ahead of yourself there I’m afraid.

Operation Avoidrelegation first and then aim for Operation Midtable while keeping our wits firmly about us. History repeats itself and let’s not that be a stain on ours. Massive difference in management to two seasons ago but it can go sour very quickly. We went off the boil last year and got over j...

Don’t forget.... when we go to an artificial surface we can open in the week for all sorts of events to a few extra quid. And that lovely late spring break the locals get, just think of all the concerts and festivals the neighbours could enjoy for free.

Re: Match Thread A vs Chesterfield VNL

Considering everything in their town shut at 5 and many of the pubs at 7, I was surprised their team turned up. At half time it had 0-0 all over it in my book but an inspired second half shows you under estimate us at your peril. To the 97 young and old as one voice at the end, i salute you. That’s ...

I have a season ticket which I have been unable to use yet. I can't get to evening matches and not to every home game on a Saturday. Reason? I am 87 ' my wife is 89 and has Alzheimers. Hemswell is my old RAF station in Lincolnshire Hemswell, with a history like yours and a tag name like mine, if yo...

Re: Yesterdays crowd

Exactly, there is no way we would have sold over 3000 and only get 1400 on Saturday. Why’s that? Out of the group of 13 I’m normally with there were two of us there. The rest were all on holiday. Casual fans boosted the numbers for Aldershot and a pleasant evening weather wise compared to rubbish w...

Won when I thought it was going to be a tonking. Dont care how we do it. Just win and i’ll enjoy the moment. Also, if Edser is coming back, I wouldn’t drop Poku or Kane. I thought Poku in particular was that growling combative midfielder we needed and missed on Tuesday. Really impressed with his ret...

Re: Joe Felix signs

Why don’t we stick Gerring at RWB an Cook at CB and see what happens? Cook won’t get in before Diarra and Parry and Gerring as RWB puts absolute feer into me. I think he was the one who played chummy onside Tuesday night after Diarras non header. Still, with Felix coming in I think Jack will get a ...
