Re: Shaun Donnellan and Kane Ferdinand

I’ll give you headers as a strength for Kane. Debatable for Donnellan. Transitioning to creative players is covered by ‘pass it backwards/sideways and run away’. On the basis of the first 8 weeks of the season Donnellan is a briliant aerial asset. Not as much since he's come back from the cold. You...

Shaun Donnellan and Kane Ferdinand

Can someone please advise what either of them are any good at? Just one attribute for either that’s above average.

Passing it backwards and running away doesn’t count.

Loza off. Twitter saying he was pushed over and given a second yellow for diving?! Anyone there got any idea what happened? Woking Twitter Red Card. Jamar Loza is clearly pushed over in the box but the referee deems it a dive. Jamar receives his second yellow and is off. Wrexham Twitter 68' RED CAR...

Re: Dowse's Friday Catch-Up | 10/1/20

Proof that Dagenham and Barnet need to lower their prices. Solihull's increase over a few years is impressive. Yes I know AFC Halifax Town are a Phoenix club, but we are the highest in what I’d call, Traditional None League clubs category. But yes D&R and Barnet need to sort there pricing strategy ...

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

Because rugby cuts up a pitch more than football.

Plus it’s a terrible sport to watch.

If we have rugby at the new ground, is there going to be a bottle bar with piss available from Tarquin and Piers to prove how laddish they are?

Be careful, next you’ll have Lurker suggesting you don’t know what the meaning of life is! Plus other such nonsense. Some football-related stats are interesting/informative/illuminating, others are merely obsessives wanking into the wind. I'd suggest any series of player stats that draw the conclus...

Going to arrange a fan forum - just him, Casey and supporters - to work out how to improve the atmosphere at home. "What the supporters did in the last 20 minutes against Wealdstone won us the game." Wants to talk to the fans in person, doesn't like people hiding behind keyboards. ("The chairman sh...

Re: Dowse's Friday Catch-Up | 10/1/20

IIRC the atmosphere v Wealdstone was dreadful up until Diarra scored. Perhaps if we stop shipping early goals, the crowd won't think "oh here we go again". Yep - it was dead until around the 70th minute as most of us were resigned to a playoff semi surrender and another season in the South. The atm...

Re: Who Would Win - Nineties, Naughties, or Tens???

The only player from the noughties who would get anywhere near the nineties team would be Ater and from the tens maybe betsy and sole. That nineties team would walk this pile of poo league. Betsy would make the Second team for The Nineties, he played in 98. Arter and Sole, both decent but would onl...

Re: Woking 1 - 0 Chorley | Godfrey Poku Interview

I realise that this isn't a cricket forum, but anyone who knows anything about cricket realises that Ben Foakes is the best wicketkeeper in the country. As for Poku, he is in very good form, and I assume easily won the PotM vote on Saturday I agree that Foakes should be in the test team because he’...

Re: Ins & Outs

I am not at all convinced that Cook makes more mistakes than Casey. I think you mentioned it before but Casey seems so used to playing at a lower level (where he’s one of the best players) that he often steams forward out of position. Or gets caught doing things he would get away with in the league...

Re: Match Thread Chorley (H)

I think several people on here are underestimating how easy or difficult it is for a winger to beat his man each time. Loza, with the possibly exception of Tarpey (who needs the ball in the right place, quickly) is essentially our only player who repeatedly tries to take his man on. The opposition ...

Chorley's only chance would have been gobbled up by a better opponent. A Rea type defensive midfielder is the first priority.
Disagree on this. I would say a RB, Striker and Edser type creative midfielder (so we can drop either Donnellan or Ferdinand) are are all bigger priorities.

Re: Match Thread Chorley (H)

Much needed win against a very limited Chorley side. Can see how they’ve drawn so many games 0-0 this season. We did what was needed - much better in the 2nd half.

Wrexham away next (who even Aldershot beat today) with Casey hopefully back in the team.

Re: WFCTV | Sutton United 6 - 2 Woking | Match Highlights

Yes one thing very noticeable at Sutton was the lack of leaders on the pitch. Maybe the players have been too over reliant on Casey chewing the refs ear off at every single decision all season and last. Is having a fringe player out of his depth and hasn't played much a good choice for captain? Hin...

Re: WFCTV | Sutton United 6 - 2 Woking | Match Highlights

The free kick for their first is similar to the ones Tarpey has been taking in the last few months. Which are routinely dealt with by opposition keepers. Gerring had a decent first couple of months of the season but now he’s back to looking like an average conf south defender with zero mobility. Tim...
