Re: National League suspended 'indefinitely'

Sadly I do think we won’t see another live football match until August maybe September. It’s very difficult to see how the season can be completed before the end of June now. With contract issues how can they realistically extend it. Football is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things but I am so ...

Re: Update for fans

Worth noting that progress is being made further down the pyramid. Results of the 2019/20 season have been expunged for every club in Tier 3 and below, with no promotion and no relegation, the FA has said today . Just seen that, personally I think that's ridiculous that practically a whole season i...

'National League vote to immediately end season due to coronavirus crisis'

Re: Steps 5 and 6 to end immediately

"As Barrow are currently four points clear of Harrogate at the top of the table, with nine games remaining, one possible option would be to scrap the play-offs completely, promote the Cumbrians as "champions" and allow Stevenage to remain in League Two."

No thank you.

Re: Dowse's Friday Catch-Up | 20/03/2020

Everyone at the club is healthy – nobody’s told him that they’re unwell. Close comms with players, speaks to Josh twice a day. Chairman hasn’t said anything about staff or players not being paid. At the minute the players are off. Due back on Tuesday unless he’s told differently. Have been given sp...

Re: National league suspended

I hope all clubs survive. Surely now is the time for the super, super rich premier league players to share some of their wealth to help others. Unfair? Absolutely. There should be a buddy system but it won’t happen. The Glazers could’ve saved Bury with spare change they hadn’t realised was rattling...

Re: Ex-Cards News (May '19 onwards)

Not quite ex-Card, but Jack Skinner scores his first senior League goal for Eastbourne tonight, scoring after Greg Luer had a shot cleared off the line. He also technically set one up for James Ferry. And the first of the game was a cross from Kiran Khinda John. I forget that they were literally Wok...

Dowse catchup, 14/3/2020

https://youtu.be/fUAhJYZmm3Q “Inevitably have to start with the wretched bat flu.” Dowse can’t work out the difference between Premiership players and our players on this – “should carry on until you can’t carry on”, and “haven’t had any cases here, touchwood”, but “what’s the difference between us ...

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

The government have announced that local elections - including at council level - will be postponed for a year. Think this is interesting as, for better or for worse, it makes it likely that if the plans were rejected, they'd be resubmitted to the same people. At the same time, councillors might fee...

Re: Woking v Dagenham & Redbridge – update

Does anyone think tomorrow's game will actually have a very small attendance, as many people will think well I'm not risking it, rather than enticing would be EFL fans? I actually think there will only be around 1100 there. For what its' worth I think the national league have made a mistake here, i...

Not sure what #22's attitude was about, but he takes both goals very well.

It's never a free kick for their second in a thousand years. We did far less in the second half though.

Re: Jack Cook

My gut reaction to that was that our defence is top ten in terms of quality, but prone to mistakes (we should've won three or four games in October/November that were drawn/lost to silly goals). But I don't think I can say that without singling one or two players regularly making them, and rather th...

Isn't it time for some more defensive Junction 24 stats?
Can we have a count of the number of defenders he's absolutely Zidaned? He glided past I think three last night and that alone was worth the entrance fee.

Good interviews. Dowson spot on about last nights games Am I wrong in thinking he is going in the Summer? There's a phrase half way through "when I took the job for one more year in the Summer". He also mentioned about not knowing his budget on Friday. I have a horrible feeling he has a better offe...
