Dowse's Friday Catch-Up | 17/1/20

https://www.wokingfc.co.uk/tv/v/1354/2/ Neufville highly rated. "Impact player", brilliant pace. Can play across the front, midfield or right back - the Luton manager loved him in midfield. Wall thinks it's his job to occupy both centre backs. Lovely off the pitch, bastard on it. Scored two in the X...

Re: Incomings

Josh Neufville confirmed. On loan from Luton on an initial one month deal. Could he be the right back most of CB has been crying out for? https://www.lutontoday.co.uk/sport/football/luton-town/hatters-loan-teenager-to-solihull-moors-1-9070997 It's a weird one. He was educated as a striker, seems to...

Re: Woking v QPR U 23's this Tuesday 7.45

Matt Jarvis played with my son at meadow sports so he must be 34 now and getting a bit long in the tooth. He showed some good touches though and put a good strike in on goal which was well saved by the QPR keeper. He would be an threat on the left wing going forward but not sure how much defending ...

Re: Incomings

Moving from actual trials to wishful thinking, I see that Jonathan North has left Wealdstone by mutual consent. Instrumental in beating us twice last season and we may have not been promoted if he wasn't injured for the playoff semi. Wonder if Dowse would consider him competition for Rossy, given Ho...

That can't be right, can it? I know he wants to get back into football but he was at bloody Norwich in the summer! Barely kicked a ball since 2015/16. That's an awful long time in football. Managed 9 games after Christmas in League One, but I take the point. I've seen a video recently of him desper...

Re: Incomings

No Hemel appearances though this season by the looks of it ? When did he last play 90 ? A few injuries across his career too. It’s harder to get stats for conf south level, but he has played for Hemel this season, including away at Slough on their 3G pitch. Where's the best place to find them? I te...

Re: Incomings

A total guess, but I wonder if it might be Josh Neufville? Just back from a loan spell at Solihull (10 appearances but less than 90 minutes total?!), Dowse said he was chatting with Luton, and we are in need of a striker.

Re: Dowse's Friday Catch-Up | 10/1/20

As an analogy, I work in sales (yes Lurker, normal people like stats). Dowse is the equivalent of the exec who's boss is all over him and calls a deal too early, without properly qualifying it, to appease the demand. This only serves to get more attention on him, and loses him even more credibility...

Dowse's Friday Catch-Up | 10/1/20

http://wokingfc.co.uk/tv/v/1351/2/ Gray to go out on loan (again). Two signings very close - one "95% done tomorrow", another very close from Luton. More business done by next week. Has watched QPR and Palace youth sides to identify targets. Been down to Oxford to see the team there. Still pushing f...

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

Chobham Card - any chance you could go and expose some utter garbage on Twitter? Someone at the very fore of SWAG is stating that they have been told by Woking FC that the club cannot afford to run the new stadium. People believe that kind of shit. Twitter is a cesspit, and the SWAG group itself ba...

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

I also agree with the majority of CCs comments, and very well put they were. However, I have 2 small arguments/points to make 1) The Leisure Centre/Pool in the Park is nearly always full on matchdays and is a nightmare to get out from after the game. I assume (or at least hope) that this would be i...

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

I agree that WFC needs a mordern stadium as the old one has reached its sell by date, but not to the detriment of the local area. I read this a lot, and I am increasingly taking it to mean "without impacting or changing the local area in any way." This is, unfortunately, impossible. What I would sa...

Re: Ex-Cards News (May '19 onwards)

Presumably we're about to get into silly season again given that Dowse wants a big squad shakeup and we've got two weeks without a game. So: Josh Payne's loan to Ebbsfleet has been extended until the end of the season, when he's out of contract. Lazar Stojsavljevic remains a free agent, having been ...

Re: Ins & Outs

What Cook has got, and it showed against Chorley, is a good first touch cross. Late on against Chorley, Tarpey took it deep, Cook run on from the halfway line, Tarpey cut back and Cook dropped a promising cross. I can't remember what game it was in the AL season, but I distinctly remember Richard O...

Worth noting that Glen Rea's start for Luton against Bournemouth yesterday was his first start for the club in 54 weeks, and that he finished wearing the captain's armband.

Re: WFCTV | Woking 1 - 0 Chorley | Match Highlights

Absolutely love the shot of Dowse and Ian after Donnellan's shot. "What the fuck was that?" If we didn't have Poku we would've lost that game. The only presence in midfield, goalsaving header at the back post in the second half. Not sure the audio accurately represents what a morgue it was before we...

Re: Match Thread Chorley (H)

Twitter is weirdly positive given that it took us about 38 minutes to get going. Should've scored one of three chances from that point, but we should've been behind already. Chorley comfortable in defence but don't have much going forward - apart from one passing move where we made the look like Bra...

Are we more terrified by the prospect of Collier at left back or Moussa at left back?
