Re: Woking stadium and regeneration – questions?

I wonder if we'll give Farnborough the LGS as a sweetener If we gave them the LGS they too could have a 9,000 capacity ! The only issue is they don't even break 300 now days ! Surely they would be desperate for us to share with them for a season or two, even if we only averaged 1000 the income on s...

Re: Match Thread V Yeovil

To be fair he’s going to get to 10 yellows regardless of Saturdays one. Let’s see if he gets to 15 - that would be some effort seeing as he hasn’t even been a regular all season. At the moment Poku is averaging a yellow card every other match. As much as I love the guy and his total commitment gett...

Re: Woking 1 - 0 Yeovil Town | Match Highlights

it's a bit like the stand your ground rule here in a lot of US States. Use only as much force as necessary and appropriate to get the job done. You cannot win the ball and also send the player into row Z like you could in the good old days. Excessive use of force in a tackle is punishable. Glad that...

Re: Referees

not helped by having snipers hiding in the stands taking out players at will. Who'd be a referee nowadays, the amount of cheating bastards out there makes it very difficult. However a little consistency and application of the r̶u̶l̶e̶s̶ laws wouldn't go a miss on occasions.

I'm going to get carried away 😁.
Taking one game at a time - that was a big game to take. Unlikely to get Johnson back back if we did and Jarvis... Shit... What a problem for Dowse.

Re: Shaun Donnellan and Kane Ferdinand

so with Donnellan seemingly playing out of his socks at RB... where does this leave Jack Cook at the moment? If he can't edge out Gerring as sub.. he's kicking his heels for a few weeks maybe? Can't change it for Tuesday (makes no sense at all to change it Tuesday Dowse... not none, you can't, you'd...

Re: Shaun Donnellan and Kane Ferdinand

Getting Donnellan off of Ferdinand's toes and vice versa sounds like it gave Kane a little more room to influence.
Before I start on Donnellan at RB (Another CH come midfielder) How'd he do overall? Great goal by all accounts.

We didn't know shit until Matt Jarvis ran out in that friendly. Once he did that the cat was clearly out of the bag. A very pleasant surprise for all and well done to Martin Tyler and Dowse for getting it done. Confirming what everyone now already knew in a newspaper article is hardly controversial...

Dorking Wanderers... just to confirm we are either world beaters or dead beats
Would be better to beat them at Meadowbank in the final, not that Hyde or Tarpey could play!
club should petition to get the game moved if we make it to the final and it's on plastic.

Apparently Yeovil are bringing a large following so should be a dec eat atmosphere to bounce of They have already sold 600+ tickets in advance. Should be a 3000+ attendance Let's hope that Woking turn up and don't spend the game watching like the majority will be. Big day and great chance to close ...

Skinner, Wareham and more of the academy lads most certainly. Throw Wall and Neufville in for practice. If we need to use Max to make up an 11 so be it. Don't play Ross, Casey, Diarra, Tarpey, Poku just in case.

Re: Frustrating watching us fade away

Like nearly everyone - I'm extremely grateful for what is looking more and more like National football next season. It's been a season of learning for Dowse and most of the players which I trust will be put to greater use. We are just two or three players short of being a bloody good team with a man...

Re: Frustrating watching us fade away

I'd expect most of the work with the squad, if there is any, will be conducted close to the end of the January window when players start to get a bit itchy about not getting a move for first team football etc. Can't let anyone go permanently right now or loan if we end up not being able to replace. ...

with a squad of only so many - dropping Kretch and Hodges only leaves us with the two new strikers and exactly the same team he had before. Of course he's going to start the same 11. He literally does not have a choice. Howes in? (tried that) , Parry in (out of favor?) and we are left with the acad...
