Re: watched Alty v Stones today

If Wealdstone dont beat Oxford on Friday then it could get interesting for them, especially with the amount of games in a short space of time Im not sure 'in the mix' as, like us, 1 think 1 more win will do it for them, though they arent on a great run of form (no wins in the last 5) Looking at the ...

Re: Stewards today

is there any news as to why the stewards on Saturday were so heavy handed.

do the club get notified of the Woking fans that were ejected from the ground, and the reasons why. If so, and presuming the reasons were petty, are the club going to take it any further with Southend

Re: Things the club need to do better at…

borninwoking, you do realise that Man Utd, as with most other PL league clubs, are global identities, and with the amount of coverage that the PL has around the world, let alone in this country, its not too difficult for anyone to work out who is and isnt fit for any particular game. comparing that ...

Re: Updated run ins

I would imagine if York and Kidderminster survive and its 4 southern teams that get relegated, Oxford will be in the Northern league next year.

as for who else goes into that league, who knows. It may be one of the promoted teams from the league below

Re: Updated run ins

1 more win will take us to 51 points

looking at the fixtures of the others down there, and the form that some of them are on, I genuinely cant see 3 other teams getting to that mark

As crazy as a league that it is, it will be only tomorrow night that we wont be able to get into the POs

Re: Do you enjoy football?

Talking of Dover & last minute winners, what about the Edser (I think) winner there a couple of years ago on August bank holiday.
That was some celebration on an extremely hot day

Re: Updated run ins

interesting fixtures there, and as has been said above some of those below us have some horror fixtures, but as I have said elsewhere, nothing can be taken for granted when it comes to results in this league It will all become a little clearer after the Easter games, by which time we will hopefully ...

Re: currently watching

They've got so many games. Their fans are whinging about player welfare etc, they've clearly got a lot of spirit and should have enough points from their games already to scuff a few more. But they've got themselves into a bit of a mess. Ridiculous their run of games, isn't it: Sat 6th April (B'Woo...

Re: currently watching

Very true JAM - but take Saturday coming as an example. Chesterfield are either going to be going into their home game needing a point to win the league, or celebrating for the duration being Champions backed by vociferous home crowd in party mood. They're playing? Boreham Wood. I'd fancy they'll s...

Re: currently watching

Even after they've won the league, you'd still back Chesterfield to beat bottom half teams, especially at home. They haven't lost at home all season. Kidderminster have to play Chesterfield and Barnet away. If you assume they lose those, that would leave them needing to win 3 of their other 4 remai...

Re: currently watching

Oxford are all but down, and barring miracles will be at the weekend if they dont win at Fylde as for the others, I have no idea. The fact that Chesterfield still have to play York, Kidderminster, Wealdstone and Maidenhead may or may not help, depends how they feel if they win the league tonight. Th...

Re: Do you enjoy football?

I remember the Bradbury (??) very late goal at Oxford City on a Tuesday night causing mayhem....but don't remember the score or how much it mattered! At that time we were neck and neck with Torquay - that win put us 3 points clear of them at the top (we barely won a league game after that, though)....

Re: Players signed for next season

Some interesting observations in here on players that have been central to a pretty terrible season. Going position by position assuming we play 5-3-2 GK - we need a new, solid, absolute number one. Someone who will play every league game unless they are injured or suspended. I'd perhaps look at ke...

Re: currently watching

As it stands Ebbsfleet, Eastleigh and Maidenhead can go above us with their games in hand (ive taken Wealdstone out of the equation, as they have alot of games in hand, with their 1st tonight v Bromley) Ebbsfleets game in hand is Tuesday 9th April when they travel to Solihull Eastleighs game in hand...

Re: Do you enjoy football?

some cracking memories in this thread (thanks mainly to H Card for that). However, back to the original question. Surely, no one can always enjoy football. Everyone enjoys the good times, similar to the ones mentioned above, and more recently the final whistle when winning (see Saturday), the last m...

Re: Updated run ins

I can only assume that R&WA didn’t include Eastleigh when he did the original post cos they weren’t in it, although they certainly are now.

I also missed a game for Wealdstone in my original post. They are also playing this Wednesday

Midfield - Kellermann (19), Anderson (16), Oyeleke (13) have managed 48 of 120 league apps between them this season. Forwards - Korboa (18), Browne (16), Grego-Cox (14) have managed 48 of 120 league apps between them this season. Anderson has played 58 of 133 league games available since he joined....

Re: Updated run ins

also not a knee-jerker. though will admit that after Ebbsfleet i couldnt see us getting out of it. Whilst I agree with alot of what Cardelia says, in that run of games before Wealdstone, we drew at PO contenders Shots, won at PO chasing Oldham and could have got something at League winners Chesterfi...
