Re: Woking 1 - 1 Stockport County | Match Highlights

Delighted he plays for us, as not sure my vocabulary extends that far to what he could be called if he was in front of Moaners Neat finish that by Wall, just a shame he wasted the golden chance in the 2nd half. Great save by Ross towards the end as well The Gerring tackle, having seen the 1st replay...

Re: Stockport (H) Match Thread

I thought it was a fairly game, in not the greatest of conditions. Both teams were trying to win it, juts neither had the skill or luck to do so. Had Wall scored with his opportunity, which he snatched at, not sure anyone would moan that we didn't deserve it, but likewise I thought Stockport were a ...

Re: Paul Hodges leaves the club

djspeak - I agree that we, as paying customers, liked to be entertained, but football is also a results business, and we cant all be Man City/Liverpool, some of us need to be more Burnley and grind out results in a tough league. I see that your previous comment in this thread mentions that we have l...

Re: Paul Hodges leaves the club

Shame, but not really a surprise. Hopefully Dowse will explain why in his catch up tomorrow Thanks for everything you did whilst at the club Paul, esp changing the game against Wealdstone last season and the goal against Hartlepool on the box this season. Good luck in wherever your footballing caree...

Re: WFCTV | Notts County 1 - 1 Woking | Match Highlights

I am going to sound a little controversial here, but im not convinced the Loza 1 was a pen. Seen them given yes, but not 100% definite. as for the Diarra foul, think we have got away with 1 there The goal for Ferdinand, as shown above by the picture by David, looks like it wasn't given for a foul on...

Re: Ben Dempsey joins on loan

He may only be 20, but he is a 20 year old that has played in against top opposition (the current league leaders and 3 teams pushing for the POs) in the Championship this season. I agree we could do with another Poku type player, but as they don't seem readily available, lets see what this lad can d...

Re: FA Trophy

Then we would have got Royston Town at home. Think the FA are keen for Notts County on getting to Wembley, though fair play to them for beating Yeovil at the weekend

That's some trip for Plymouth in The Vase as well

Re: Fans Forum

on the assumption that we have spoken about teams with plastic pitches having a bigger budget, I presume Oxford C would make the cut as believable. as for Craig Ross, that would be the same Craig Ross that was without a club when we signed him (I believe). Jake Hyde and Kane Ferdinand are ex league ...

Re: Fans Forum

TBF that was also mentioned as a factor, and that teams had worked us out a little bit. The Tuesday night record was also mentioned, about having to work all day, and then go and play a high intensity football match, but TBF I am not sure how many of the players that affects, or have a job like Casey

Re: Fans Forum

Dowse went through most of the squad last night, and it seems that all the players in our squad were free agents/had been released by other clubs, possibly bar Casey, who he mentioned had to take a pay cut to follow him from Hampton. What Dowse was basically saying was that he would like to do what ...

Re: Fans Forum

Cheers CC, decent summary of the night, which was fairly informative Just 1 thing, it wasn't Peter Taylor (along with Geoff) that championed Dowse for the job, it was Peter Jordan. On the Peter Taylor thing, Dowse did mention that he heard the rumour that he went for the D&R job when Taylor got sack...

Re: WFC TV | Eastleigh 2 - 0 Woking | Match Highlights

Meerkat, I would agree with both of those comments. The 1st half was awful to watch, and as I said in the match thread the closest we got to scoring was when their keeper tried to punch it into his own net. Eastleigh seemed to attack our right side, and rightly so, as Donnellan was getting pulled in...

Chances are it could be the TV as well, esp if Barrow have a chance of winning the league, or have won the league and will receive the trophy that day

Re: Eastleigh (A) Match Thread

1st half Saturday we were woeful. 2 stupid goals given away, struggled to get any movement going, and the closest we came to scoring was when their keeper nearly pushed a cross into his own net. It looked like the players, esp the 2 new boys, didn't know the system we were playing 2nd half was bette...

Re: Five Saturdays in February

28 years ago. How times flies

we were unlucky that day. As KE says above we battered them 2nd half, and the goal they scored shouldn't have counted.

From memory must have been close to 6k there, and we had a fair few of them.
