Re: Part time

I think Stockport also claim to be in the middle of making the transition from part-time to full-time - although apparently they have a Monday morning training session, so they can hardly claim to be predominantly part-time. To go back to the original post, I don't recall anyone suggesting we were t...

Re: 'National League vote to immediately end season due to coronavirus crisis'

The article is clearly contradictory. If the season is declared "null and void", then clearly the top two clubs can't be promoted or the bottom clubs relegated because the season effectively hasn't happened.

Re: Statement from Woking Football Club

Some of our own players expressed concern and surprise that the fixtures were going ahead. This isn't something that has come out of the blue. There's no difference in risk between the Premier league, fpl and our league. If there was no financial consideration the games wouldn't have been played th...

Re: Woking v Dagenham & Redbridge – update

Be interesting to see the players' response. Hodges just called it disgraceful. Although he is suspended at the moment so guess he can stay at home anyway. But if enough players kick up a fuss, surely games will be called off by clubs? Casey also baffled by this decision. To be fair, he complains a...

Re: Woking 1 - 3 Barnet | Interviews

The manager putting a little bit of pressure on the board by publicly saying in March that he doesn't yet know what his budget is for next season is pretty standard, isn't it? It certainly is at Woking.

Re: Aldershot away all ticket??

Could be a big game for both clubs, albeit for different reasons - us as a part-time club attempting to finish in a play-off position, Aldershot as a full-time club looking to avoid a second successive bottom four finish. Now I think about it, I'm beginning to see why a couple of Aldershot fans are ...

And it's been announced that former Card Jefferson Louis has signed for his 38th club, Hampton and Richmond Borough at the age of 109.
Blimey, how many more of our old players are they going to nick? They should rename themselves Hampton & Woking FC.

Yes, I remember you were very impressed initially. Anyway, he always gave 100%, so good luck to him. I explained quite concisely why you were wrong, but you never replied strangely, so whatever works for you. There are certainly worse crimes than being supportive :) Nothing strange at all about my ...

Don't think this has been mentioned, but Matt Young joined Hampton a few days ago.

Re: Ex-Cards News (May '19 onwards)

What would be the point of adding another player who wouldn't get into the match-day squad? Fair enough, but the 'point' might be that he gives us a different option, or might be required if the squad is reduced by injuries or suspensions. I suspect it is moot anyway as he is presumably going to lo...

Why? We're already struggling to fit all three of Gerring, Parry and Diarra into the starting line-up. What would be the point of adding another player who wouldn't get into the match-day squad?

Bit strange, because Goddard was apparently very impressive in his Eastleigh trial. So it would seem that cash-strapped Ebbsfleet are still able to offer more than Eastleigh.

Re: Ex-Cards News (May '19 onwards)

Seven goals in eight league games for us last season, with at least two or three assists/penalties won into the bargain. That's a great return for an out-and-out striker, let alone someone who was primarily a winger. In the league below, The gap has got bigger from VNS to VNP. Doesn't appear to hav...

Jonny Edwards moves from Halifax to Maidstone "for an undisclosed fee". I assume that means Maidstone have paid Halifax money for him rather than Halifax have paid money to Maidstone to take him off their hands.

We certainly "missed" him when he came back a few weeks later to score against us for Welling in a draw that pretty much caused us to miss out on the playoffs.

I am sure if someone had hacked his Twitter they would have put something a bit more exciting on there??
The "my Twitter's been hacked" message is from a year ago, not the day after the message about Billericay.
